On the ground, among moss under pines, Tanabe, Kii. leg. Mrs. K. Minakata (nec Matsue Tamura) October 14th, 1906
Clavarisa purpurea (Muell. ) Fr.
Fasciculate, now connate at base, smell faint, branchless. Base arising from mycelium conglomerated with earth, elongated and fusiform with the tapering apex blunt, up to 9 cm. l., gradually thickened towards the middle, whereabout 3 mm. thick, subcylindrical or compressed with a channel, smooth, slightly noduloso-zonate, light opaque lilac, whitish below and with pure white very minute downs, more or less curved, inside pale lilac, stuffed then hollow, fleshy, fragile.

コメント：ムラサキナギナタタケClavarisa purpureaである。採集者は、熊楠婦人（Mrs. K. Minakata）であることを明記し、わざわざ田村松江（同年7月に結婚した妻の旧姓）“ではない”、と断っている。新婚の喜びを間接的に示したものだろうか？
