Boletus luteus (L.) Fr.
(A) only 1 found. Solitary, scentless, taste somewhat astringent. Stem
(A) spores ga*heredy
Pileus regular, 7.5 cm. diam., becoming undulate-sublobate, at first very glutinous with dark separable exudation, becoming dark bay at the disc and thereabout, and chestnut towards the margin. Stem erect, more thickening towards the apex than towards the base, 3.2 cm. high above the ground, 1.3 x 1 cm. thick at the top, 9 x 7 mm. thick below, 10 x 8 mm. thick at the border line of the ground; apex ‘pinard-yellow’, about upper half very pale flesh color, and dotted with dark vinaecous drab-warts, about the half lower down, without warts, and partly ‘pallid violaceous’ drab and partly ‘pinard yellow’, sometimes applanate with subtawny pelliculose stripes, at the base stained ‘dark purplish drab’ or ‘dusky brown’. Pores regular or oblongish, or irregular, .5 – 1.5 mm. diam., slightly decurrent but the sterile, yolk-yellow, those forming a narrow zone round the margin of the pileus ‘pinard-yellow’.

コメント：ヌメリイグチ（現在のSuillus luteus。熊楠は異名のBoletus luteusを使用）。中央の図は娘の文枝によるものである（1938年採集とある）。ところが、この菌は1940年にも採集されたらしい。そこで両者を識別するため片方に（A)という記号を与えているのだが、これが最初のものなのか、後の標本なのかが分からない。また、F番号も消して書き直している（F.4581あるいは4681）が、F.4681はひだのあるきのこ、F.4581は背着性なので本菌と混同する可能性はない。
